Platatac Harry Parka Multicam Nanosphere Jacket

I've seen a lot of soft shells on the market but most only come in the standard Black, OD, and Tan. I don't see many properly made jackets in Multicam and that's because you have to obtain the right fabrics with the correct pattern. Getting the right pattern costs the manufacturer extra money. That's why when you see a "multicam" product that looks "off" it's because it's a replica fabric or pattern.

Platatac recently released their latest generation Multicam soft shell jacket with a nanosphere material. Nanosphere is a fabric made by Schoeller and is utilized by a lot of brand name jackets. It's highly wind proof and water resistant. The fabric is designed to "open" during hot temperatures and "close" when it's cold.

Jacket is very well made, consistant stitching throughout


The bottom of jacket features adjustable bungee with cordlocks. Keeps the bottom tight and cinched will keep unwanted moisture out


Jacket features 2 way YKK zipper. 2 way zippers are essential in layering. Makes accessing inner layers much easier by zipping up vs down



Jacket has 2 large torso pockets


Zips also feature pull string


Inside of the torso pockets contains a smaller pocket, a d-ring, and a cable management port



The top of the pocket is a drawstring pull which adjusts the hood

Like most Platatac products I've reviewed this one does not disappoint. This jacket combined with the Nanosphere fabric makes it a fantastic layering shell. It's not lined so it's best used as a shell vs. a standalone jacket although the Nanosphere does a great job of keeping you warm. Great if you don't want to wear a thick jacket.

The Platatac Nanosphere is a high performance jacket that rivals much more expensive rivals. Great pickup for the price. One thing to keep in mind is that it's a layering shell and it runs slightly larger.
