Grey Ghost Gear Minimalist Plate Carrier (MPC)
Grey Ghost has followed up to their initial plate carrier release with the Minimalist Plate Carrier. Similar to their initial release the MPS is a simplistic carrier that is also very light. It's side entry design bypasses the typical large Velcro front flap giving the user less to fumble with.
Notable features:
-Minimalist design
-Multicam webbing and Velcro
-Simplistic cut
-Side entry carrier
-Lightweight
-$115 MSRP

Front view of the MPC
Top of the carrer features plenty of Mutlicam Velcro real estate. Not many integrated features on this vest but its to be expected for a pricepoint of $115. The matching webbing and Velcro is a very nice and polished touch
Getting into the carrier is pretty straight forward
As mentioned above, matching webbing and Velcro throughout the plate carrier
Inside of the carrier
Mesh is soft and comfortable
Plate fits like a glove
Rear of the carrier
Similar to its predecessor the MPC from Grey Ghost is light, low profile and about as minimalist as possible. Keep in mind however, that with minimalism you do sacrifice real estate. There is no side MOLLE on the carrier, no option for side plates or additional addons. Be sure to keep that in mind when shopping for a plate carrier.
Pros:
-Low profile
-Lightweight
-Simplistic, no excess Velcro flaps or bulky cummerbunds
-Multicam Velcro and webbing
-Padded backs
Cons:
-No option for side plates
-Non padded shoulders
